LOCKED RULES:

1. EXACTLY TWO PEOPLE IN FRAME — the model at the door, and one salt worker far behind raking a

low white ridge, face wrapped and turned away, absorbed. Nobody else.

2. THE CAMERA IS TILTED — rolled hard clockwise so every vertical leans — the door frame most of

all — and the horizon runs corner to corner as a steep diagonal. The tilt is obvious.

3. ANATOMY: one head, one neck, two arms, two legs on her, correct joints. Her near hand rests on

the door's brass ring handle, five fingers, fully visible; her far arm hangs loose, five

fingers, fully visible. The doorway is one continuous unit — one carved stone frame, two

panelled door leaves, one ajar, brass studs in even rows, nothing behind it but more desert

visible THROUGH the open gap. No second frame, no melted panels, no wall.

FACE PRIORITY — HIGHEST DETAIL IN THE IMAGE: her face is rendered sharper and at more detail

than anything else in frame. Both eyes identical in size and shape, same pale blue irises with

visible fibre, equal round pupils, both aimed straight into the lens, one matching catchlight

each, individual lashes separated, individual brow hairs, pores across the nose and cheeks,

defined lip border. No distortion, no melting, no plastic smoothing. If detail must drop

anywhere, drop the background — never the face.

COLOUR — ONE TOUCH ONLY: the frame is white salt, pale gold light and a bleached sky. The ONLY

saturated colour anywhere is the deep cobalt blue of the door's two painted leaves. Her gown is

ivory. Nothing else carries strong colour.

CAMERA: 35mm motion picture film, handheld with visible tremble, rolled twenty-six degrees

clockwise, held low at knee height a few metres out and off-axis, so the open leaf and the

desert through the gap both read. MEDIUM-WIDE: her full standing figure and the entire doorway

in frame, close enough that her face is large and fully resolved. Foreground out of focus.

ENVIRONMENT: the white salt desert at golden hour, hard low sun raking from frame left, flat

cracked crust to a dead-level horizon, thin gold sky band, nothing else standing anywhere.

FOREGROUND, OUT OF FOCUS: cracked salt polygons, one shallow brine film catching the sun as a

hot streak.

MIDGROUND, SHARP: a full Jodhpur haveli doorway standing free on the salt — a carved sandstone

frame and two tall cobalt-blue painted leaves with brass studs and a ring handle, the paint

sun-faded at the edges and peeling at the sill, one leaf ajar showing only more white desert

through the gap. Its foot has punched through the crust, cracks starring out, a timber prop

wedged behind and a low salt drift already banked against the closed leaf. She stands before

the ajar leaf, weight on one hip, spine long, chin level, one hand on the ring — posing, not

entering — looking straight down the tilted lens, unbothered.

HER: a model, fair skin with, fine blue veining

at the temple,  blue eyes,  hair pulled back flat and severe.

gown, strapless sculpted bodice, long column skirt, long ivory opera gloves — she belongs to the

white world, and only the door is blue. The low sun rims her hard down one side and fires the

brass; the salt bounces bright cool fill from below so her face stays open. Real skin texture,

pores, faint freckles, no plastic finish.

BACKGROUND, SOFT: white crust to the horizon, the raking worker at his low ridge far off, heat

shimmer, gold sky thinning upward.
